Update 2.0 is a free overhaul of the game’s core mechanics. Said changes include a new Cyberware system that aligns V’s armor stats with your equipped cyberware rather than your clothing. This allows for a greater degree of self-expression, with stat-based buffs and debuffs depending on your build; a new Perk system that introduces the ability to deflect bullets, air dash, and perform various finishing moves; and an entirely new skill tree tied to the Relic chip embedded in V’s body that further enhances your various abilities. Update 2.0 also sees the introduction of an entirely new Combat Vehicle system, allowing V to ride a shotgun and hack nearby vehicles while moving to wreak havoc on any potential attackers. The introduction of vehicle combat comes with an overhaul of the game's "wanted" system, allowing various levels of North Carolina police to pursue you until they finally bring the big guns: the heavily armored and extremely deadly MaxTac Psycho Squad. Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update also brings over 100 new items, ranging from new weapons to new clothing items, new cyberware, and new vehicles.
